I have nothing to compare these poles to except to another Komperdell hiking poles that my husband has, and I love mine. Love the cork handles, feels so much nicer than hubby's plastic handles, especially when you got hot and your hands start to sweat. Locks are sturdy and holds well. I was using them in Zion, Bryce, Kolob Canyons (UT) and Kennesaw Mountain (GA) and they were a big help. Buy a rubber tips for the ends & you are all set.

I bought these poles for some hiking I was going to do in the Smokies. I have never used poles before, so I bought these based on the reviews and the price. I have discovered I really like using poles. This worked great. I liked the cork handles, but I did wear bicycle gloves with them to keep from getting blisters. Easy to adjust and lightweight, although every once in a while I noticed that the lower part had been pushed out of position.

I lost my old Komperdell poles 1 week before a130 mile Appalachain Trail trip.I orderd these poles as a replacement,WOW !! what a mistake!!!!! The little carbide tip fell off after only 2 days! The poles kept leaking down so that everyfew miles ,I had to adjust the length back up.I am very disappointed in Komperdell,my last poles were great. How could they sell such JUNK ?

I have small hands and was concerned that these might be too chunky For my hands. They fit great! Length is easily adjustable

The poles are lightweight, easy to adjust and hold their adjustment. The straps are the issue with these poles, there's no cushioning! Also, the grips seem rather small so I would not recommend these poles for those with larger hands. Even with these negatives the poles are fine.
