These trekking poles are excellent. They stay where you adjust them to, and the optional baskets are nice for snow shoeing, too. And I will be sure to follow directions and not leave them tight in an extended position. They're easier to store closed up, anyway.

I bought these for my daughter and while she hasn't used them yet she found them to be light with great adjustments that worked easily.

When I received these trekking pole, one of the discs was missing. Customer service chat took care of me right away and sent a new pair of discs within 10 days, very nice indeed. The poles telescope to adjust to my height, and are versatile in that the discs can be switched out between snow baskets for snowshoeing, and smaller discs for hiking.

The poles are adequate for my use.

STRENGTHS: The poles are solid, sturdy, and well made. The strap can be adjusted to twist in either direction for left and right.

WEAKNESSES: They are heavier than my Leki aluminum/titanium ones which admittedly cost more than twice as much. Also, I had trouble twisting them enough for the sections to hold securely. I am a small but strong woman.

These poles got the job done for the price. The plastic handles get a little bit slippery - in which case cork may be worth the extra cost
