The poles are light and strong!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Overall the poles are great. Nice to get shorter poles which means they are lighter, I do not need the length of regular poles. Yes, I am short! I used them for the first time on a off trail snow shoe scramble, we went on steep terain, icy spots and crust also (had to down climb some of it). They did not collapse on me and I was able to adjust them with thick gloves on.
