Needed a cane for every day use. Had a K-Dell with round ball top (removeable for camera mount), but the round ball was uncomfortable for extendned use. The hand grip on this stick is very comfortable. The cushion feature is great.

This is ideal for the person that wants some stability with a single pole. Potential buyers might overlook the fact that this version actually collapses to a shorter length than most others. Therefore,it is ideal for including in carry on luggage.

I'm about 70 yrs old. This stick goes almost everywhere I hike. In the back-country the only time I let it hang loose is when backing down, or climbing, toe-holds. On a field of VW-sized boulders I can hop with confidence from rock to rock, with this "third leg" held firmly to my side, ready to deploy. On more "tenderfoot" terrain it cushions each step, whether uphill or down, & enables my joints to keep on "keepin' on" for a few more years.
