I use this Komperdell stick as a substitute cane (I've got an artificial hip, etc., and need the assistance for balance, safety and lessening fatigue while walking). With ordinary canes, I had started to feel severe pain in my wrist. The anti-shock feature took care of that immediately: this Komperdell made a huge difference for me, and I highly recommend it.

I use a cane everyday and this hiking staff with the special camphor shaft alleviates the constant jarring on my arthritic hands and wrists. A true delight to use!!

let me start off by saying I love this cane. I have some knee and ankel problems but I don't want to stop hiking so I tried this for a little extra support and I have to say it doesnt matter if I am hiking a store or the woods this cane delivers. Yoe can extend it past your cane length and make it into a walking pole plus you can use the cane end to grab vines and move them out of the way. I really cant say enough good about them

I've had the non-antishock version of this pole for close to ten years and it still works perfectly. I first bought this pole for my elderly mother who needed a cane but refused to use one because she thought it made her look old (she's 84). She's used it every day for several years. I then recently bought this for myself because I've had problems with my shoulder and thought this might be a little easier on it than the un-springy pole. It collapses down smaller than any other pole and I can keep it in my pack when hiking until I want to use it.

I use this walking pole as a cane. I have had both knees replaced, and I don't NEED a cane, but since I teach middle school, it's a good idea to carry something as a warning to keep students from accidentally knocking me over!

I am a physical therapist. I offer these walking sticks to patients instead of a cane. They absorb the shock in the hand and are comfortable to use. They collapse down for traveling and don't look like a "cane". The weight makes them easy to use and carry and folks use them instead of leaving them at home.
