Living in New England (or anywhere with frigid winters) a balaclava comes in handy for all sorts of outdoor activities (skiing, sledding, snow shoveling, ice fishing, biking or running). The price was so good I bought two. Should have bought a dozen at this price... They make great gifts for anyone, man or woman. The size is pretty universal, unless you have a headful of dreadlocks (in which case, you may want to spend the winter in Jamaica).

for what it is, it is perfect. lightweight, soft on inside, fits well. this is to be worn as an open face balaclava and is perfect for that. if you wear it up to cover your mouth/nose, it will gape on the sides. but for its intended purpose, works well.

Unlike other balaclavas constructed from 2 pieces of fabric, this one has a center panel, running from the forehead over the top and down the back of the head. The fabric is super soft. Just wore it for 3 days of skiing at Whistler and am very pleased with it.
