Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by PSUBiker1 from Burlington, VT on Monday, January 4, 2016As the title notes, it was very cold up here in Burlington, VT. I hiked on a snow covered, icy trail for 1.5 hours and my feet never got cold. I had great traction, great comfort, and would highly recommend these boots... except they are sold out...

Verified Buyer Reviewed by cindylz from Rhode Island on Monday, March 23, 2015Bought these for my husband --- he loves them! They are comfortable and durable!
Reviewed by Cus from Hudson Valley, NY on Sunday, January 11, 2015These boots are comfortable, warm and waterproof. The previous reviewer might have caught a lemon. I have hd no issures with them so far and have exceeded my expectations for the reasonable price.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Hocraft from Mn on Saturday, November 29, 2014I Ordered these boots with the intent of using them on an upcoming trip. The package arrived and to my dismay the left boot was defective. The seal on the toe was comming apart, and the whole rubber toe was spongy like a rubber band. Nothing that would provide any support or protection. So I have two scenarios- either they made it out of the factory that way or Sierra grabbed a boot from their display window and it was ruined by uv exposure. So much for quality control.

Have not used yet, but micros should be no problem. Crampons likely depends on the style but the rear strap may interfere with or place additional wear and stress on the omnitrax loop strap.
“Regarding the sole options, is the design such that you have to use one of the two additional soles and the boot cannot be worn without one or the other? Basically, can the boot be worn alone without either of the two attachable soles?
thank you for your reply”
Yes, a sole should be on the boot at all times. Not sure why you would want to wear it without a sole.
The boot is designed to be worn with a sole whenever in use.
“Does this shoe come with both the sole options (SnowTrac and IceTrac) as mentioned. Do you need to remove one to use the other. What sole is shown in the picture (looks like SnowTrac). Could you provide a picture of the other sole. Any instructions included on how to swap them or is it too simple for instructions. Thanks”
These boot do come with two soles (SnowTrac and IceTrac) that are easily swappable, just pull the tab in the back and they snap out and back in. The IceTrac sole has small carbide nubs that work really well for general walking around on icy surfaces and provide great traction, wouldn't recommend these as a replacement for microspikes or anything though. (See attached picture) The SnowTrac sole is primarily the same except the nubs are rubber.
Yes, these come with 2 sets of interchangeable soles. The alternate sole is shown in the fourth picture above. Yes, you must remove one to use the other.
