I originally purchased this sport coat to use for casual going-out, though I ended up returning it.
I like many of the features of this coat: the cut is attractive, the color is nice, and I wanted an unlined coat in hopes that it would make a nice "summer weight" wardrobe option.
But the fabric used to make the coat is...odd. When I read that it included "5% metal", I didn't know exactly what to think. Did that include the metal buttons?
Well, it turns out that this corduroy-style fabric is actually woven onto an underlying grid of very fine metallic wire. The metal seems to give the fabric its structure, with the cotton-poly wales woven around and through it.
This would just be an interesting quirk, except that I found places where the metal "fibers" stuck out of seams with sharp, prickly ends. When I flexed my arms, I could feel a row of tiny pinpricks push through the lining of the sleeve, irritating my skin where the seams were located.
For me, this was a minor but constant low-level irritation, and I decided to return the coat.
The fabric seemed to resist wrinkles poorly, as well.
Finally, as with the other Kroon coats I've tried on, the sleeves seemed to be about 0.75" longer than typical.
In any case, I do like the Kroon brand, and hope to find a similarly-styled coat in a different fabric to purchase down the road.
