Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

“The cable is great for my new scooter. Now that I've seen what options are out there to lock it to, it would be nice to get a longer cable. It should not rest on the ground to prevent thieves from breaking it against the ground so I'm sure Kryptonite designed it to be shorter to help users resist it.”
