Kuhl Cabo Convertible Pants (For Women)

I am 5'4" 123 pounds and got the Small. They fit well! I tend to like my pants a bit longer so I did not find them to be too long like other reviewers. They have 2 snaps that let you "cinch" them if needed. I loved the zipper on the sides. I even unzipped them when I was feeling to hot but not ready for shorts. The zippers also made it much easier to get them off when I did convert. There is a drawstring at the waist, but no belt loops. I felt the drawstring was adequate. The reason I bought these pants is for the "shorter" shorts when converted. I seemed to be having a hard time finding something that was either too long (capri), or hit right at my knee and made it more difficult for articulation. Now the downfall, I did NOT feel like the material of these pants was to thin, but the first time I wore then I slit a small hole in the rear end with a rock. Of course it is not uncommon for this to happen to my pants from scrambling on rocks, but just not the first time I wear them. I stitched the hole and will wear them again. Also, the color is pretty light and got dirty easily, but after all I was hiking!

I bought these pants for camping and hiking. The material is thin, but seems sturdy. I am 5'8" and 155 lbs and I ordered the medium. They fit great everywhere, but the thighs are a little tight. I do tend to carry weight in my hips so a thinner person will not have this issue. Luckily the zipper does not rub, there is a flap of material covering it on the inside. These seem to be well made with nice touches like the zippers at the ankles and zippered vents at the thigh. The length is perfect as well.

I wanted these pants for travelling to the Caribean because they were convertable and light weight. The fit wasn't for me. Someone a little shorter than 5'7" and curvier in the waste would have had a good fit. They were returned.
