2.0 out of 5 stars. La Canadienn Ciara bootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Livy from California on Saturday, October 24, 2015Lovely, expensive looking casual boots. However, the shaft on them was so narrow I could not even try them on as I couldn't get my heel through. I ordered 6.5 and do not have a wide heel or feet. Thought about having a shoe cobbler stretch the leather on the shaft but didn't want to go through the process. Disappointed. Returned for a different pair.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful!!!Reviewed by Anonymous from Michigan on Wednesday, August 19, 2015I feel for the reviewers who haven't been able to get their feet into this boot, which, after seeing these boots at this price, is certainly disappointing. This feels like the criteria: 1) if your foot is narrow; 2) if your ankle circumference isn't large, and 3) if you don't have high arches, these boots should go on with a definitive pull and fit like a dream. If that criteria can't be satisfied, as great of a deal as this is, you're likely to be disappointed. (For what it's worth, I'm rooting for you!)

3.0 out of 5 stars. Beautiful, but...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from DC on Tuesday, July 28, 2015Beautiful bots and a great price for La Canadienne. But they were impossible for my daughter to get on. The length was fine (we have the same size foot), but she was not able to get her foot past the ankle. Maybe she just needs practice in the point-flex maneuver (she's only 10), but they weren't going to work for her. I wanted to keep them for myself, but I couldn't justify adding another pair of boots to my closet.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love them!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Lynn from nyc on Wednesday, December 31, 2014These boots are great. They fit my narrow feet and ankles wonderfully. I read the reviews and heard the comments of others who had trouble getting into them. Well, ladies, if you've got the foot issues I do, these are for YOU!
Comfy, wore them for 4 hours first wear without significant "breaking in " issues. The heel gives you some height, so these may not be for snowy, icy walks.
They are QUITE WARM.
They are rugged looking, rather than sleek. THe leather is a dusty brown. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Got my foot in!Reviewed by migrantartist from Alaska on Thursday, November 28, 2013I read the reviews but chanced the fit anyway. I ordered a 6 and 7--my foot is wide. With quite a tug of war, I got my feet into the 6 but the boot is narrow for my feet. A little less of a struggle and my feet were in the 7. Once on--AHH, FIT! It was slick ice outside and I ordered these because they are made in Canada and I figured Canadians do not like to slide around on ice. NOT! The non skid sole slid and worse rubbed grooves into the sole--Would have sent back but they look worn now. I do love the fit and look so these will be for non-icy days. Water rolls off quite nicely.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Impossible to get them onReviewed by Momathan from Mancos, CO on Saturday, November 9, 2013I totally agree with the other reviewer. I have a pair of La Canadienne full length boots that I love so I was so excited to order these but I could not get them on my foot. They are cute and well made but they don't have a way to get them on. I will return them next week.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Do not purchase! Would have given it no stars!Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Friday, October 25, 2013Just received these boots today and I could not even put my foot into them. It was physically impossible. Am disappointed as the cost of shipping them back is excessive.
