La Canadienne Tender Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

I bought these boots in January 2009 and wore them for the rest of the Chicago winter. The boots were warm and comfortable if a bit stiff and not that stylish. They were in great shape at the end of the winter. They looked like they had barely been worn. This winter I wore them for a week and a half before the sole of the left boot toe came entirely unglued. I emailed La Canadienne and was told that their warranty is only for 6 months and they would not replace the shoe. I understand that there are manufacturing glitches but the company should have stood behind their shoes. I had thought that these were very high quality shoes, but I would never pay full price for a shoe that comes unglued after one season.

THEY ARE EASY TO GET ON AND OFF WITHOUT A ZIPPER.EASY TO WALK IN THEM.THE LINING WAS SHEDDING BUT APPEARS TO BE GETTIG BETTER. VERY NICE LOOKING BOOT AND FEELS GOOD ON. I HAVE ROOM FOR A PAIR OF HEAVY COTTON SOCKS.THESE ARE A GOOD VALUE. [...]

THIS BOOT IS EASY TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF. I SOME TIMES HAVE A PROBLEM PUTTING ON BOOTS THAT HAVE NO ZIPPER. IT HASN'T SNOWED YET, BUT HAVE WALKED A COUPLE OF MILES IN THEM AND THEY ARE COMFORTABLE.[...]THE SHERLING IS SHEDING BUT AFTER SEVERAL TIMES OF WEARING IT IS LESS WITH EACH WEARING. THERE IS ROOM FOR A HEAVY PAIR OF SOCKS.

I haven't worn these yet, but they felt good the first time I put them on. I like this style better than other boots with shearing.

I wanted some substitute to UGGs and found this better one! they are very well made, sturdy, truly waterproof and warm, and they look as cute as UGGs, but more durable

They are my second pair because my old ones were too small with socks - my fault. They never wear out, and are super warm.

These boots are awesome. Very well made. Nice shearling inside - not as thick as Ugg, but pretty good. They are very good looking boots - so i feel confident i can walk the dog and go to the office in these. They feel light - I have several Canadienne boots and they are all waterproof and light. I ordered a 9M and it was very roomy - but once i get insoles in there, that wont be an issue. I have low arches, so i have orthtic arch inserts in all my boots. In this case, since there is enough room, i am planning to put in an Ugg shearling insole and arch support under it. That way I can get that Ugg shearling-all-over comfort, along with enough footbed support to walk miles and miles, in this pair of very stylish, waterproof and practical boots.

I'll wear these to commute to work-warm, comfortable and supportive

I bought the tan in size 10 as it was the only style available in 10. It has a nearly 2" heel which causes the sole to be inflexible when walking, pushing your foot and body forward. By the end of a couple of hours, I had to take them off as my feet were hurting. I tried for 3 days to see if I could adapt and will have to return them. Otherwise, the shaft is warm and comfy as is the interior of the boot. It fit perfectly and only the heel throws it off. If it had been a shorter heel I don't think I would have had the problem. It's otherwise a fantastic boot.
