    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    We were hoping for a realiable outdoor temperature reading but have had trouble getting the unit to record correctly both indoors and out. Indoors appears to be at least 2 degrees low and outdoors also seems to be 1-3 degrees low when companred to other units we have. Would opt for one of their less expensive models.

    Broadcast and online weather reports are all gathered at least 25 miles from my location which has a micro-climate. This purchase makes me my own weather station based on readings collected here. This interests me.

    I live in a remote area that has its own micro- climate. Broadcast weather info is at least 25 miles away in all directions. Now I can guage the weather from home.
