This thermometer makes an excellent Christmas gift for family and friends. It is a small size to be placed in any room. A good value.

Reporting Temperature to local TV weather

takes a while to set up, but most important remember to reset if you change the batteries! I thought ours was broken but it needs a new set up on BOTH pieces when any battery on either unit is changed.

Price/Value ratio is certainly 5 stars. The right size and style fit into my Shabby Chic decor without looking too out of place modern. Use in the south-facing kitchen window with transmitter placed opposite side of the house under a covered porch. Accurate temp readings both inside and out. The only two tiny improvements could be a backlighted display (more expensive and less battery efficient), and a t-stand that would allow a greater range of display angles. Overall: Love it!
