    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    La Sportiva is a quality product and at this price was an easy decision. I would not recommend as a trail runner, to heavy,stiff and it holds water inside the shoe. My use is mostly 5 to 6 mile daily walks on cement and 10-15 mile day hikes in Florida. My last pair lasted about 1000 miles.
