“Midsole is a nice balance of stiff/protective and flexy running-shoe softness. Although these are not very breathable, they are certainly NOT water/snow resistant, so hiking at altitude in the spring is a no go. Scotchgard helps. Otherwise I am happy with fit function traction etc. I wear these a lot in dirt and pavement and they are holding up nicely.”
