Bought these boots prior to take on a 4 month trip in some pretty harsh terrain. Whether rucking in the mountains, hiking in the desert, wading across streams and wetlands or running with a heavy load, these boots held up to everything I through at them. Almost no break-in time required. Combined with the right pair of wool socks, my feet have been comfortable in everything from triple digit heat to single digit cold. My only complaint is that they are easy to overtighten across the top of my foot which can cause some numbness. A little diligence while lacing prevents this from happening and certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. I would definitely buy these boots again and reccomend them to anyone looking for a versatile light weight hiking boot.

I've used it in a Himalayan hiking activity involving steep climbs on snows along with a rucksack weighing almost 11 KGs with fully loaded water bottles for a period of 7 days. Hardly any break in time is required for these guys to perform. I had a great trek with zero blisters and foot related injuries. Expected good traction on snow out of the box but made use of crampons as it was slippery. I'd buy these pair again.

I bought these because I wanted a boot that would be good to go in the snow and fine with crampons.

I hiked 4 mountains in them. Each time my feet got wet, getting more soaked with each subsequent use. There was a weird rubbing issue on my right foot which didn't cause a blister, but was sore the next day.

These are not waterproof. I wouldn't even call them waterresistant...as much as any shoe is. The rubber over the toe box began to separate after 3 outings like mentioned in the other review.

These boots would be okay if you're looking for something that won't have to get wet, but then you'd probably want a fast and light trail running shoe anyway. Compared to other boots I've tried these pretty much left me wanting a lot.
