“I cannot begin to describe how wonderful these boots are. I purchased them two days prior to hiking a 14,000+ ft mountain. My last 14er hike involved a pair of Asolos, unimaginable knee pain, and multiple silver dollar size blisters. Needless to say, I was worried about the lack of a break-in with these boots, but I suited up with two pairs of socks and had one very small blister that disappeared the next day. Moreover, my knees didn't hurt, and the 1/2 shank was great for keeping my footing stable when traversing a granite boulder field. I typically wear a Women's 7.5 and ordered a 39 (not sure if these are universal) in the Men's glacier. It fit perfectly and I'm psyched to tackle another 14er with these on my feet!”
