The boot is a dissapointment with poor workmanship and a lack of padding on the inside of the boot.

I live in a rainforest, so even a short hike requires waterproof footwear on most days. I have taken them up steep and muddy trails and rock hopping along the coastline, great traction and truly waterproof to about 4.5 inches. Only complaint is that the softer foam ruber (light grey stuff) around the base of the boot tears up pretty easily on rocks. Overall good boots and you cannot do better for the price.

This is a true medium width boot (not wide). It is slightly stiff, but I have not had any break-in issues. You can carry medium loads without feet problems. Good traction on trails.

I wore these boots two long seperate days, the first day they needed broken in and the second was better but not great. I don't suggest going off the path in rocky areas, I already have two small tears in the leather. Gortex holds in standing water but not in wet grass (typical of)

Great looking boot!!! I had to add an arch support to them but that only because I DEMAND high arch support. I can see myself buying these same type of boots every time I need boots!!

This is a nice looking boot, but the upper lace hook created a pressure point on the ankle and I sent them back. Also, the tongue is narrow so you can't place it between the hook and your ankle.
