La Sportiva Thunder Gore-Tex® Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Women)

I bought them for 1 occasion, hoping that I will use them for a long time. Cant wait for new years holidays in Polish Mazury. Looking foward for some snow to try my new boots :). First impression they are great quality and looks better than at a photo. First time as comfortable as ski boots, but Im sure that it will be ok soon ;).

The first pair I ordered was way too big and then the second pair I ordered was 1 1/2 size smaller and was too small. These boots seem great, but my size is not in stock.

I had read to order 1/2 size too big, which I did, and they are comfortable and get the job done. The foxtails in areas I hike are insidious devils, but these boots protect against them well. Also stayed nicely dry when hiking through wet pastures.

For the most part,I like these boots. However,I usually wear a heavier boot and these were a little light weight for my personal preference (I just don't know if they will hold up with continued use). On my break-in hike, my feet got 2 "hot spots" around my ankle and 1 blister. Hopefully, they will not take too long to break in. But, the boots look good and are not too clunky. For most recreation, I think they would work out fine. (haven't tried them for backpacking yet).

Not impressed. I was very excited to get these. In walks around town, they were nice. My feet got hot, but were otherwise comfortable. On a 12 mile hike, they failed me. They offer no arch support and not very much cushion. My feet got thoroughly soaked, resulting in several blisters. The outer sole could be a little more aggressive. Perhaps I asked to much from them. As a light duty boot they are OK. But for backcountry excursions, not good.

My wife has arch and ankle problems but these boots provided good ankle support without being inflexible. The arch support is not all that she needs but for most people it should be just fine. Haven't tried the boots with a pack but the ankle support looks to be able to support moderate loads.

Love these boots. I am planning to live in these boots on my up coming trip to Denali. They will be perfect in the damp terrain.

Wore them out of the box on a 3-hour strenuous hike with mid-weight hiking socks, and only had a blister on my left heel. Have had no blisters since the initial hike. Good ankle support. These things have great grip - I can scale rocks like Spiderman!

I love the extra length in the 9.5+ sizing. That makes them perfect for me.
