3.0 out of 5 stars. Not for meReviewed by Anonymous from South Carolina on Monday, September 22, 2014Cheap materials, stiff construction, and REALLY uncomfortable heel cup! After two days of wearing these I couldn't fathom putting my feet back in them. They just hurt.
Decent traction, vibram, gore-tex...Some good specs. Just not for me. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. YesVerified Buyer Reviewed by WhidbeyHiker from Washington on Wednesday, July 9, 2014Very supportive. I have a narrow heal and need a wider toe box. This boot is a fantastic boot but did not fit my foot. The heal was little too wide and the toe box a bit narrow and pressured the outside of my foot too much. For the right foot this is a great boot for a great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Love the boots!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Boston on Tuesday, May 13, 2014Bought these boots a few weeks ago. Love the build quality and comfort.
Note: my son has the newer version (the Thunder III) which are also nice. The exterior padding in the heel (under the sole) on the 3 was too soft for me, but the 2 is much better. I am a big guy (220 pounds) the heel on the II is much stiffer which I prefer. It doesn't compress and flatten out with each heel strike. HTH. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. comfort in the La Sportiva ThunderReviewed by Anonymous from Texas on Tuesday, March 25, 2014These are very comfortable hiking boots and I like the fact that they are not real heavy. I've only had them a couple of weeks so I don't know how they will hold up but so far, so good.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Decent Boot with defectsReviewed by Anonymous from USA on Saturday, March 22, 2014The fifth metal loops that shoe laces go through is too small. The metal loop needs to be larger so the shoe lace sits flat on the boot not protruding out. Not sure who designed it but it just doesn't work properly. Pulled tight and there is too much rubbing on ankle bone. The padding on the ankle and tongue is not enough also. The leather is lacking cause its from China. Otherwise is a good boot for forty pounds max backpacking or day hiking. I will probably return if I can't find a proper lacing technique to use. Got it for a decent price from STP though its not worth what I paid.

2.0 out of 5 stars. China man-made leather....Seriously La Sportiva??Reviewed by Anonymous from USA on Friday, March 21, 2014Sizing is narrow in the heel and snug for my foot 11.5 or 45.5. Roomy in the toe box. Width is good for narrow feet. Sizing for the length is at La Sportiva Boot Sizing guide which shows a diagram of measurements. The rubber sole is good for rocks but not that great for mud. The end cap at the toe is nice. The man-made leather is cheap...Yes very CHEAP. The mid-ankle area is getting crinkly already just by wearing them on the first day. Really La Sportiva...Cheap China made leather or whatever it is, but its not leather. I will keep for a week or less and wear around the house, and if it gets worse...then I'm shipping them back and calling La Sportiva! I still love Sierra Trading Post though!
