La Sportiva Zodiac Trail Shoes (For Women)

Purchased these for a 22 year old who walks sometimes and she loves them. Good job reviewers! I read all reviews and decided to select the 9 and 1/2 ---10, size 41 and it fit her as if it was custom made. She loved the design too.

I bought this hiker in women's and men's for my husband and me. Neither of us have any complaints. We were able to wear them right out of the box and went on a 3 hour hike. No jammed toes, nice ankle support - we like them and hope to wear them a lot more in our Wyoming and Missouri hikes.The only trouble was getting the correct sizing - I followed the advice at the bottom of the page (runs small, order a 1/2 size up). I'm a true 9 - so I ordered a 9.5 - it was WAY too big. I ended up having to reorder. However, I noticed on the Euro sizing that there was a 40 AND a 40.5 - but they are both listed as size 9. I went with the 40.5 and they fit perfectly! My husband is a 9.5 and I DID order the 10 for him - (it was an anniversary gift so he hadn't had a say in the matter). His first comment was, "This is probably going to be too big," but the 1/2 size up for him was a perfect fit.[...]

For cold climate hikers, these might work out with winter socks. This shoe feels about a half size larger than other La Sportiva shoes. They're warm, so if you're hiking in warm clinates, your dogs will be panting in no time!

Catalog suggested upsizing by 1/2 size. Would have been better to stay with my usual size. I kept the shoe since my size was sold out and really like it. Good traction, flexible and not too heavy.

I use these shoes to walk the dog...through mud snow, ice, etc. They are comfortable and I have even been wearing them when I'm just banging around and don't "have" to wear them.

Of the 3 I bought to try, these were immediately comfy and my ankes fely well protected and held stable w/o rubbing or feeling tight. Good ones!

Great shoe. Exactly what I was looking for in a lightweight hiking shoe. Really durable and sturdy on rugged lava.
