Lafayette 148 New York Dolce Tweed Skirt (For Women)

Got this skirt and the matching jacket. Love it. Was worried the tweed fabric would add bulk, but it's a flattering fit. I definitely agree with the recommendation to order a size down. I usually run a 10- even in this brand, and the 8 fit just right. The skirt is slim cut, so if you are a pear shaped figure, you may want to stick to your usual size. The skirt is a bit longer than I was expecting, it runs just about to the base of my knees and I'm 5- 8. I may have it taken up an inch or two. I think the slit length in back is pretty standard- I didn't think it was overly long.

The size 4 skirt fit perfectly but the length was way too long so I had it altered. I tend towards more conservative colors but this skirt (and jacket) caught my eye. When I first received it, I was not sure about the pink color but when 95% of my suits are either black, brown, navy or grey that's no surprise! I got a 6 jacket and had to have it altered. I'm sure a size 4 jacket would have been perfect. I can't wait to wear it to work!

this is an absolutely beautiful skirt; many colors in the fabric so can be worn with many tops. Fairly dressy -- waist seems a tad tight -- but not uncomfortable

I BOUGHT SKIRT, TOO. I ORDERED SIZE SMALLER, BUT WAS TOO SMALL. I EXCHANGE FOR MY NORMAL SIZE AND IT FIT. THE SKIRT IS A SLENDER FIT. YOU REALLY HAVE TO LOOK TO SEE THE METALIC THREAD. YOU CAN DRESS IT UP OR DRESS IT DOWN DEPENDING ON SHOE TYPE AND BLOUSE/CAMI WORN UNDERNEATH. AND OF COURSE YOU CAN WEAR JACKET AND SKIRT SEPARATELY FOR EVEN MORE CASUAL LOOK.

This is a simply beautiful skirt. The fabric is very high quality and its extremely well made. I plan on wearing it to work this spring with a beige silk blouse and pink shoes and a pink purse. The different colors in the tweeds (varying shades of pinks and a creamy beige) give you a lot of options.

Please be aware that the product description is inaccurate. The description states the skirt is 29 1/2" long. When I tried it on it was clearly too short. I measured it - it came to exactly 26" from the top of the waist to the bottom of the hem. NOT long enough for this 5'10 1/2" body!

Slit in back allows for easy walking; however, a bit more leg is revealed than I like. I am the more conservative type and would prefer and overlapping vent. I bought the matching jacket and received many compliments on the outfit. The instructions recommend buying a smaller size--that did not work for me. I had to return the skirt for my normal size.
