Lafayette 148 New York Merino Wool Cardigan Sweater (For Women)

I purchased 3 cardigans. They are wonderful to have as a staple. I use them over matching tanks and they look feminine and elegant. The tan camel goes well with grayish-fawn tailored wool pants, camel suede boots and simple but bold 18k gold necklace, bracelet and stud earrings. The smoke blue goes well with periwinkle turtleneck and the plum is just beautiful with its matching tank. I am thrilled with the cardigans, but especially that I could get Lafayette 148 at these prices.

Goes from resort casual to special occasion with ease. Even the buttons are classy -- little pearl buttons. Great classic piece.

Although this is a very nice sweater, it is not what I expected: it is much thinner. I will put it in the drawer and bring it out in the spring to take out the little chills of spring and not the big chills of winter. Although the chest size does not seem too tight, the buttons still have the look of being stretched and gaping on me, but there is plenty of extra fabric across the back.

You can't go wrong with the standard cardigan. This is so soft and beautifully fashioned. I gave this as a gift to my professional daughter and she loved it.

This didn't work for me, which was a big disappointment because it is beautiful fabric and very classic. I'm too plump for it right now, but it is worth a try. The main drawback I found was that it either must be dry cleaned or washed by hand and dried flat.
