Lafayette 148 New York Tweed Jacket - Petite (For Women)

I bought the skirt to match. It's gorgeous. It was a great bargain. Will use it to officiate a wedding.

I was so pleased to see this jacket offered in a petite size. I had purchased it's matching skirt last fall. Although they make a complete suit, I think I'll often wear them as seperates.

Had this jacket for a while and didn't wear it. Luckily I didn't take off the tags and STP, being a great retailer, exchanged it for a smaller size. About the sizing...Lafayette 148 sizes their clothing true to size. That means they use the standard from a decade ago not the nonsense that is being used now by many companies to make everyone feel better about gaining weight. I am a size 4 or 6 in clothing but in Lafayette 148 I am a 10. Everyone gets their wake up call! The material is what I would call a boucle with gold threads running through it, which happens to look better in the jacket than it does in the skirt. The material and workmanship are first rate. It's amazing how exceptional a quality garment feels and looks. I'll probably start wearing it with jeans to get more use out of it. I also bought the skirt to make a suit as STP's prices are unbelievable (compared to the sticker shock on the tag of the garment from the manufacturer).

Was just too short in sleeve length to pull off, and the body of jacket is also short. Feels like a petite size. Had to return it.

Very dressy and beautiful shot with gold threads, making it a perfect jacket for formal occasions, or toned down with tailored pants or skirt, perfect office wear. Mine came with a small snag that I can easily turn to the inside. I ordered up in size because I am a petite and the Lafayette 148 web site gave very small measurements for petite sizing. It is a roomier cut but I am glad I sized up due to wanting to wear a sweater under the jacket for work. The sleeves are a little long, but the design is such that you can move the hooks to the outside and create a sleeve cuff to deal with that. Overall a very high quality lined jacket for upscale business or formal wear. I plan to center my evening winter wear around this jacket. It is more gold than beige so if you are looking for a just beige jacket, this may not be the bill. I usually don't wear gold, but in this jacket it is subtle and not overdone. Just don't pet the dog with this jacket on as it is quite nubby and will snag easily!

The is a wonderful label; I would never have been able to afford it anywhere else.
