“Skirt doesn't hang well”

“I love the companion jacket, it works well with black (can really snazz an outfit up!); however the skirt was a disappointment--to me, it doesn't hang well, and alone--the skirt design somehow makes the fabric look tinselly and cheap. However, jacket and skirt together will work well enough for that "I'm dressing formal and being respectful" occasion; so I'm keeping both the jacket and skirt (with hesitation, since I won't be getting as much use out of it as with the jacket).”
