Lafayette 148 New York Tweed Skirt - Petite (For Women)

I purchased this for my wife who truly liked the product - I am a heavy Internet buyer - my wife is adverse to purchasing clothes on the Internet

I am keeping the skirt this time. Previously sent it back because there is something about the skirt that looks tinsely compared to the matching jacket I have. As all of Lafayette 148 clothing it is very high quality material and workmanship. Happy to have a high class suit for whenever at these prices. As all good clothing, it runs very true to size.

This skirt is beautiful. I ordered a petite 2 and it is a dead fit. This is very true to size. If you're not sure, your best bet is to order a size up. You can always have it slightly altered if it doesn't fit exactly.

The fabric is beautiful. I never thought I would be able to afford this label.

I love the companion jacket, it works well with black (can really snazz an outfit up!); however the skirt was a disappointment--to me, it doesn't hang well, and alone--the skirt design somehow makes the fabric look tinselly and cheap. However, jacket and skirt together will work well enough for that "I'm dressing formal and being respectful" occasion; so I'm keeping both the jacket and skirt (with hesitation, since I won't be getting as much use out of it as with the jacket).

Depending on the shirt you wear this can change the use of it from casual, dressy, classy. One thing is definite it is beautiful to the eye and touch. It is a neutral, natural color with glamor of gold thread running through it.

I usually wear an 8 or a 10, depending on the style. I ordered a 10P so the length would be a little shorter. However, the skirt fits quite snugly, so I don't think I could have worn an 8 in this style.
