I bought these shoes for trail running with dogs. These shoes have great traction, water resistance and are pretty comfortable. They don't slip on snow or mud. I have yet to see how they do on solid ice, but what little ice I've walked on, they have had great traction. They keep my feet warm and dry. So far, I'm very impressed with these shoes and I love the color!

The soles of this trail shoe are narrow and very thick...too things you don't want in a trail shoe. I would imagine there would be no "trail feel" at all with these shoes...and the narrow high soles would make them rather precarious I think.

I wear a 9.5 in athletic shoes- these were size 9 and waaaaaaay too big! I walked inside in them and was impressed by the feel of them, yet they had to be sent back... Order a size smaller than the NORMAL shoe size normally worn. In normal shoes I wear 9, next time I will get an 8.

These shoes look great and feel great. Much more comfortable then my last (more popular brand name) pair. Only gave them a four because I haven't had a chance to really put them to the test with stability, durability, and waterproofness (if that's a word). Other reviews have said they fit too big. I ordered my exact size (8) and they fit good with thin socks (laces really tightened down) or thick socks.

I just came back from Costa Rica after volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. I bought this pair specifically for the trip since I was arriving in the middle of their rainy season and would be working outdoors. The shoes definitely served its purpose. They were perfect on the really wet muddy terrain I was on the whole week. I had to wash the shoes every so often during work to get all the mud off from under it and my feet stayed dry the entire time. I also went on a knee high river trek through sometimes seriously rough amd sometimes really slippery terrain and I stayed upright the whole time. Best money I have spent on a pair of running shoes.
