    For a first time hiker, I believe these will be the best boots for the job.......once I break in the supposedly soft collar around my upper ankle. Other than that, these will be super!!

  • Nice boot but not what I needed

    Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
    Seems like a great boot, well constructed and good weight. A little stiff, which is to be expected before being broken in. I wanted a waterproof boot I could wear for longer hikes but that would work for snowshoeing too... which is not a very realistic group of expectations especially for under [$]. The deal breaker on this boot was that I sized up based on my planned winter use and other reviews regarding the narrower fit, and it was much too large even with heavy socks. So I recommend you buy your usual size. I am usually an 8 and ordered an 8.5, FYI.

    Great boot, and with the email coupon I used... great price! I paid[@] prices for a really nice boot. I wear a 8.5 but had to return these to get a 8. Be warned these run a touch big(or at least they did for me!
