I bought the Mekko print (in brown, green and white) and really love the cheerful 70's look of the fabric and the chair design. I'm 5' 10" and the chair is quite comfortable for me, however its design is not nearly as comfortable as the LaFuma anti-gravity recliners we bought at STP. Those are INCREDIBLE, but I guess that should be talked about in a different review!

A friend of mine brought one of these chairs into the back country packed on a horse. ?It ws the favorite chair of all for relazing. Might be too long to be packed by all guides but well worth it. He had the aluminum frame which is a lb or so lighter. This chair has the steel frame. Still not too heavy to pack on horses. Defeneitely easy to use chair for base camp sites. I am tall and this chair fits me well.

This is my second Lafuma chair bought through Sierra trading. This one was a little bigger and a little heavier than I was expecting. So it is not suitable for back packing or outdoor events for which I have to carry this chair to the destination. And I wish it comes with a carrying case. However, once it is set (which takes a second), it is extremely comfortable. High back accomodates even a large person comfortably. It looks sturdy with my husband on, too. I am testing the chair inside at our living room, and it is so comfy that I often sit on it instead of our regular couch. I like its mod pattern which is unique and very different from the ordinal camping chair.

I'm a long time Lafuma chair fan and got excited when I saw these available. Taller in size then my older version, it provides added back support so it's more comfortable but the big trade off is the added size and weight. It still will get lots of use.

We will use the banana chair on our new roof deck. I ordered the chair with the blue background to match a chaise lounge with a blue slip cover. I love the ease of set up with the chair. I don't like the weight. I have a Lafuma chaise that is also very heavy as expected. I also have two sets of Lafuma chairs from Sierra Trading Post which are light and wonderful for picnics, and campgrounds.

I was surprised when I saw the low ratings on this chair as we bought this chair in the brown/green/white & the matching lounge chair a month+ back for our camping trip. This smaller chair was for me & the lounger (he wanted arm rests) for my husband. Yes, it does weigh something as it is sturdy steel, but I being of average size, could easily pack it in the car, set it up, etc. My husband (over 200 lbs) also used this by the campfire & felt comfortable in it. What I like about this chair is it has more class/style/character to it than the usual camp chairs. Also, I read all the instructions and you need to ensure the chairs are properly set up (legs fully out, etc)or it may not work as well for comfort & so forth. I noticed as I was slipping on the cloth cover that it would be rather simple to sew a new cover if it ever needed to be replaced. The frame is sturdy, so I feel this was a very good investment for the long haul. The compact size was appreciated as we packed all our gear in a small car & every inch mattered it seemed. I could easily move the chair up closer to the fire & it is a good height for sitting. We placed a log on each chair at night to ensure they wouldn't fall into the fire pit or blow into the next campsite just in case high Sierra winds kicked up during the night or a bear came prowling around. So, if you are looking for something nice, compact & sturdy like I was, this is what worked. Really like these chairs!

The seat is not wide enough, and the edge cut into my legs. I am not that large (5'4", 140 lbs.) I returned this chair the day I received it.

Based on the other reviews, I expected an extremely light chair, which this is not. It does seem sturdy, and I am happier with the purchase than I would have been with a flimsy [...] folding chair. Nice fabric, and seems well built.

I've have 2 of these chairs, they are over 12 yrs. old. I use them primarily for day hikes and music festivals. They are very comfortable and strong. The carrying strap is built in and is ingenious in its simplicity. My daughter, when she was little, would climb in my lap and fall asleep at concerts, so the weight restriction has held up. This is a very strong but super light chair.
