I purchased this pack to kinda slim my pack down, but it has way too few tie points.Couldn't find a way to tie on my tent much less sleeping pad and bag. Also had little room for my food.

I am 5'3" and weigh about 105#. I am an adult woman; the clothing sizes that tend to fit me best are XS and 0-1. My narrow figure is shaped more like a young girl's or boy's and I can also wear childrens' clothing in about a size 12. (I'm putting this in my review because I wish I'd found more specific information when I was shopping around for myself. Descriptions like "small" and "short" were too ambiguous to be of much help.) I'm backcountry traveling with several children this summer and needed a pack that I could use to help carry some of their gear in addition to my own. I purchased - and returned - four backpacks before finally finding the Transalp III. I was so pleased with it that I also purchased two more for a couple of the bigger kids. [...]The pack is highly - and easily - adjustable to fit a wide range of sizes. I believe it is marketed as a "youth" pack, and I'm wearing it at the second-to-largest setting. Although I would have preferred a somewhat larger capacity, this size is plenty big enough to hold 25#, which is really all a person my size should reasonably try to carry anyway. The pack is well constructed and comfortable. I've loaded it with a mostly-full 20# bag of rice and my sleeping bag to break it in before my trip. It seems well distributed, adjustable and comfy in this trial; I'm optimistic it will do just as well on the trail!

I used this product to travel to Chad, Africa. It was perfect! Lightweight, compact and plenty of room. I used this bag as a carry on for the plane, also for travel in country. I was able to carry all my essential comfortably in this bag. I would definatly recommend this product to others.

Good pack for no more than a three-day trip, either camping or traveling. It is a bit thin. The good of that is economy of weight, but the bad is that I feel uncomfortable testing the seems. It has an attached rain cover. The zippers are a bit small, and they do get caught on the fabric. Another benefit is that it complies with carry-on luggage requirements.
