Good pack for no more than a three-day trip, either camping or traveling. It is a bit thin. The good of that is economy of weight, but the bad is that I feel uncomfortable testing the seems. It has an attached rain cover. The zippers are a bit small, and they do get caught on the fabric. Another benefit is that it complies with carry-on luggage requirements.

I used this product to travel to Chad, Africa. It was perfect! Lightweight, compact and plenty of room. I used this bag as a carry on for the plane, also for travel in country. I was able to carry all my essential comfortably in this bag. I would definatly recommend this product to others.

I am 5'3" and weigh about 105#. I am an adult woman; the clothing sizes that tend to fit me best are XS and 0-1. My narrow figure is shaped more like a young girl's or boy's and I can also wear childrens' clothing in about a size 12. (I'm putting this in my review because I wish I'd found more specific information when I was shopping around for myself. Descriptions like "small" and "short" were too ambiguous to be of much help.) I'm backcountry traveling with several children this summer and needed a pack that I could use to help carry some of their gear in addition to my own. I purchased - and returned - four backpacks before finally finding the Transalp III. I was so pleased with it that I also purchased two more for a couple of the bigger kids. [...]The pack is highly - and easily - adjustable to fit a wide range of sizes. I believe it is marketed as a "youth" pack, and I'm wearing it at the second-to-largest setting. Although I would have preferred a somewhat larger capacity, this size is plenty big enough to hold 25#, which is really all a person my size should reasonably try to carry anyway. The pack is well constructed and comfortable. I've loaded it with a mostly-full 20# bag of rice and my sleeping bag to break it in before my trip. It seems well distributed, adjustable and comfy in this trial; I'm optimistic it will do just as well on the trail!

I purchased this pack to kinda slim my pack down, but it has way too few tie points.Couldn't find a way to tie on my tent much less sleeping pad and bag. Also had little room for my food.

I put this pack to the test. This pack is holding its own so far. For the price, quality is very good.

Capacity too small in contrast to the excellent suspension

I am excited to take this pack out for multiday trips. It holds a surprising amount. I like the attached raincover. My main complaint is that the top compartment doesn't come off, and the bottom compartment zipper seems to stick when full. Still a fantastic bargain!

This is the second one I have purchased for my preteen sons (10 and 12). Theres no other brand that offers the quality of these packs for less than a fill up at the gas station. They are super adjustable for smaller framed individuals. This pack fits my 10yr old son (57", 60#s) as well as it does my wife (61", 102#s). I would limit the fit to individuals below 70" and 170#s due to narrow shoulder straps and shorter waist pads. The suspension is very well designed with great air flow and excellent support. The stitching overall is not up to something like Arc'Teryx standards but it far exceeds anything else in this packs price range. It's easy to load, easy to sling, and easy to fit a couple of days worth of supplies and gear into. The rain cover is another feature of this pack you just don't expect at this price point. Obviously we are very pleased with these packs! Get Outside! Dave

I bought 3 of these because they looked like a steal and I don't regret it! Excellent padding and a lot of options for adjustment but they will only really fit smaller individuals. Ideal for petite women or kids 9-13. At this price, I'd get a couple.
