Closeouts. Outlast the muckiest trails in Lafuma’s Xlight OT hiking boots, designed with a waterproof breathable OutDry membrane and a combination shoelace and one-pull lace system to secure the perfect fit.
Excess lace tucks away under a flap on the padded, gusseted tongue
Have used in backcountry hiking. Walked right through a stream and kept dry. The boots also repelled burrs which are abundant in some areas that I hike. A little stiff, but breaking in easily.

Only been on light hikes so far but very pleased with this boot. While the boot is 'true to width' it is sufficienty roomy to wear thicker socks when you need to. I like the way the lacing system allows a tight pull but I'm yet to test if this keeps the leeches out - or at least on the top level of the sock.

Best Uses:

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Quality excellent. Double lace system a big pain. Flap to hold the tighteners of the inner lace system hard to flatten, therefore difficult to lace the normal laces tightly and they tend to untie. Though not made for snow and cold I wore them in Montana in January - toes got colder much much faster than in an equivalent pair of a different brand. these toes more pointed, maybe that made the difference. Wish I had just returned them in spite of good quality of shoe.
