    The biggest problem is that it's made in Slovakia not the UK. Last one I bought was actually made in Britain and is five times the coat that this one is. It's a decent coat of Shetland wool,but not a great one.

    This is larger in all dimensions than other 40 shorts, but it is fine for me with a sweater underneath. The thick Shetland wool is just the ticket for cold winter days. I really like the style of this sport coat. I do not see that it matters that the elbow patches are faux-suede. Surely they are mostly for looks. I have never seen a person wear out the elbows of a sport coat. Those who have should heed the old rhyme, "Mabel, Mabel, strong and able, get your elbows off the table!"

    I have been buying garments (3 jackets and 4 pants) from Lambourne for several years now through STP. This is the first one made in Slovakia instead of England. I cannot say exactly how, as I have worn it only twice now, but the quality seems a notch below the English made previous jackets. I guess Slovakia is England's Mexico or China. A shame that it is nearly impossible to pursue real quality anymore.
