    I purchased this reel as an upgrade to an older Lamson LP3.5. That reel will continue in service as a back-up. This one is much lighter and the drag is the smoothest on any reel I have. Can't wait to get it out.

    Most stuff you buy nowadays is junk. This reel is not! It looks elegant and works fine. I can't say that about most stuff I buy

    Arrived not perfect. The gap along the spool/rim was askew ever so slightly and the reel seat was not perfectly parallel - again, ever so slightly. I'm a very meticulous person and the "flaws" probably wouldn't bother most people, but for [$], I want it literally PERFECT. Returned for exchange, and the replacement was perfect. Love the reel. 3rd from Waterworks/Lamson. Quality control must have just missed this one.
