    This an abesolutely awesome reel made even better by the price. I only had one issue and that was changing the drag from left to right handed retrieve. The cap was frozen on and I had to use a padded pair of pliers to remove it. But that is minor considering the quality of this reel. AWESOME!!!! 5 Stars!!!!

    A quality reel, but lacks the refinement of other reels in the price range. I found the click annoying, and the initial start up on the drag poor. However, the drag system seems to be smooth and sensitive, once engaged, and the reel should be adequate for almost all fishing conditions. Quality of construction is good, and it is an innovative design.

    For around the price of the entry level Konic reel (which is a great value at retail price, by the way) I was able to get the lighter machined construction, harder finish and higher end styling of the velocity. Lamson appears to be clearing these reels from inventory to make room for an upgraded versions. Only wish I could have gotten an extra spool at a clearance price as well.
