Closeouts. When did the middy blouse come sailing back into fashion? Have a little modern fun with this Lands' End Sailor Collar uniform blouse, complete with tie tab. It might just make you go all misty for your middle school uniform.

Even though, or maybe because I never HAD to wear a blouse like this, it took me back to a nice, nostalgic place. The fabric is high quality and the collar lies smoothly all around. I found that removing the tie tab made the open collar more appealing; careful use of a stitch ripper made for an easy job and should leave the stitch holes invisible after a wash. I plan to wear it with cropped, blue pants.

This shirt is beyond cute. There's something about the packet collar that makes it really special. It washes well and if you're inclined to spend the effort with an iron it comes out even crisper and with a slight sheen. I'm 5'6",125 lbs and the size 6 fit perfectly. The fabric is slightly stretchy. I like this one so much I'm about to order another.

I got 2 of these and am very pleased. The fabric and construction are better than I expected, price is amazing. Try it with cut off jean shorts in the Summer. LE sizing always runs big, this too. At 46, the subtle Japanese schoolgirl vibe is fun and humorous, my stylish daughter gives the thumbs up but thinks she's too young for this particular irony. All cotton.

This blouse comes out of the dryer ready to wear. The cotton is very comfortable, and I like the tie tab that makes wearing a bright scarf (Navy style) very easy. We are a yachting family and spend a lot of time seaside on the West Coast, and this blouse looks jauntily salty alone or with a jumper (pullover sweater) for an excursion ashore when in marina. I plan to order another one.
