Coat is great. Fabric is not as nice as some other duffle coats I've had (all from STP), but the insulation makes it better at keeping you warm when worn over a suit or coat and tie. I got to test it the other day with winds of > 25 mph and wind chills down to zero. The one bad thing about the coat is that the hood can't be tightened so if it's windy, it tends to blow off your head. I think it's dressy enough to wear to work or out for the evening, but others might differ.

At 5'6" and 200 lbs, I can wear a size large in some products and medium in others. The large was voluminous in girth & too wide at the shoulders. The medium is a perfect fit with the exception of the sleeves being a tad long. Overall, I think it is an exceptionally nice coat that appears to be well constructed of good quality material.

I wanted something heavier than a trench coat and this baby fills the bill. It is heavy but not bulky. I don't plan on using the hood. I like the high collar.

I read all the comments about the size of the coat so I ordered both a medium and large to try on. I am 6'1, 180lb and of "average" build (not overweight, not athletic). I tried on the medium and while it was very trim and fit overall, the coat was tight through the shoulders and especially so with a sweater on. The large fit perfectly in the shoulders but seemed a little bulky otherwise. The sleeves on the large were very long (I'm a 35+ sleeve length, so if the sleeves are long on me they are WAY long!) but just right on the medium. I went with the large after asking several friends to tell me if the large looked too big. All said the medium looked trim but the large did NOT look bulky (although it feels like it). Hope this helps complement the other reviews on the "oversize" feel of the coat. It would have been nice to include the following in the design of the coat: 1. A way to fasten the hood around the chin—hood hangs loosely when on your head. The loose hood looks cool and casual but isn't particurally practical. 2. Side entrance pockets (into which it would be easy to slip your hands)—the pockets are top flaps so it is a little awkward to stick your hands in the pockets to keep them warm. Otherwise I am very satisfied with the quality and make of the coat.

Seems like a very nice coat (have put away for next winter after trying on). I do have a MAJOR gripe, though: the well-positioned hand-warmer pockets are ornamental ... they don't exist under the flaps! VERY FRUSTRATING!
