I'm slowly upgrading my wardrobe and needed a winter coat to wear with wool trousers and a sports coat. I received this coat just in time for the cold weather and have already worn it a few times. I wear a 40R in coats, 15.5/16 neck and 33/34 sleeve in shirts. I ordered a medium and find it works over a sports coat; I don't find the sleeves too short as other reviewers have commented. The charcoal color is very dark; I'd call it black. The fabric feels great to the touch, the quilted lining is a nice touch, the pockets are nice and warm. I love the zip-front and the front buttons as well as the double collar--you can really bundle up when you need to. It's a pretty classic looking coat that works well with dressier clothes but can also be dressed down to casual.

Really like the Jacket. Fit feels good. I would worry that if one buys a size to large that this Jacket would look bulky.

Well made, good fitting coat. For a stylish coat it is quite warm.

I am still thinking about whether to just use it as it is, bring it to a tailor or send it back and get something else. The jacket (labeled as jacket but long enough to be a coat) is a beauty. The double collar does not look bad as others suggest, you just have to fold it properly. I'm 6"1 165pounds and this jacket fits nicely on the shoulder. The sleeves are not too short but sadly the torso part (especially the belly) is very big. If I layer a lot it might not look so bad but with just a shirt and a sweater I can tell it is way too big. If you have average American size and you like a classic wool coat, this is made for you. If you're on the slimmer side like me, think it over. For the price I think even if you have to pay for alteration it is still a good deal but I have not bring it to the taioler yet because I fear that the tailor will ruin it. :(

Prior reviews that indicate the sleeves are on the short side are correct. I wear a 35" sleeve in a dress shirt and ordered a large in this item. The coat sleeves leave my shirt cuffs a little exposed, but it looks fine. Otherwise, the coat fits well if you like a trim cut. My dress jacket size is 42 and a size large in most coats fits me pretty well off the rack. I was initially skeptical of the combined zipper/button closure but like it quite a lot now that I have the coat in hand. I like the advantages of a zipper, and when the coat is zipped up with the buttons left undone, it doesn't look unusual at all. Call me a fashion novice, but I thought the combination might look a bit odd. It doesn't. I also like the double collar. Again, I thought this might look unusual, but it doesn't draw attention when I'm wearing the coat. I also like that it makes the yoke and collar feel a little more substantial - just my personal preference. Over all, the quality of the coat seems very good - haven't worn in foul weather yet and will have to see how it holds up after a year or two. With an STP coupon, I payed about $100 for this coat. I think it's a fantastic value at that price.

Extremely nice quality. Sleeve length is true. Chest sizing seems a bit on the small size through the shoulders. If you have broad shoulders it could be an issue.

Good missing link between my long formal wool coat and various casual coats. It is a bit bulky, but hey, it's wool and lined so it is going to have some bulk. Like the slash handwarmer pockets - just carefully cut them open. Drawcord in waist is helpful to give the jacket some shape, but only to a degree -tightening it too much bunches the coat's back. I'm 6ft/200lb/34"sleave and ordered a large. It fits a little loosely over a shirt, but fits great over a sport/suit jacket or heavy sweater. Happy with purchase. Might be too loose on trimmer guys; would probably work for upto 40" waist.

This is a great looking jacket that fits true to size. Love the zipper front.
