Closeouts. It's the bright and gleaming turn-key closures that infuse fashion appeal and character into Lauren Hansen's boiled wool hooded coat -- distinguished by raw-edge detail finished in serge stitching.

In spite of a couple of discouraging reviews I decided to take a chance on this jacket and am so glad I did. This is a lighter weight boiled wool which may be misleading to those familiar with the heavier European products, and I'm wearing it as a sweater. The chrome "hardware" is heavy so this looks best buttoned up, and it is long enough to look great with leggings and boots. The sleeves are intended to be cuffed--they are split and flared, but if you have long arms you have some additional length to work with. I've seen no problem with the pilling mentioned by another reviewer; I purchased the gray. Can't believe this was available at such a reasonable price!

The coat was very cute but when it arrived, I found it to be more of a sweater texture. The metal closures were too heavy to support the fabric. I had to send it back, I thought it would be a boiled wool that I was familiar with.
