I do a lot of trail maintenance, and somehow managed to bruise my wrist a couple of times recently, so when I was looking for new gloves, these caught my eye. Pros: They work well to protect my wrists from being hit, and have the added bonus of covering the placket opening of my sleeve, so no more mosquito bites there! Cons: A few devil's club thorns get through the deerskin suede "hands," and dirt and other things sometimes get scooped into the rigid protective cuff--and down into the hand covering. They would benefit by the addition of some elastic near the junction of the two materials.

The deerskin is soft and supple, which makes the glove comfortable and the fingers nimble enough to manipulate small objects with relative ease. However, don't buy these if you plan to do any heavy work. After very much shoveling, chopping wood, or the like, the thin leather in the palm will wear out. This glove is best meant for light gardening. While the deerskin portion of the glove seems to be of reasonable quality, even if the leather is a little thin, the upper protective cuff feels very cheap. The cuff is studier than the glove, but it feels almost synthetic. Perhaps it is composite leather fiber glued together, or perhaps the layers of paint to color the leather gray were applied so heavily that the grain of the leather was lost, but the cuff just feels tacky.

I wore through these in under one hour of cutting twigs! I did not cut through them; they wore out on the thumb while breaking small limbs, so I still got a blister. Oh yeah, I am 5'6" and 130 pounds.

These gloves are tops - fit good, wear for long time under difficult usage, and the price is right.

These are comfortable, soft work gloves that remain flexible after getting wet and drying. They're not thick enough for barbed wire, but they're perfect for getting inside of and pruning rose bushes without scratching your forearms. Similarly, they safeguard your arms when you're carrying pruned branches and brush while wearing a short-sleeved shirt. One weekend's worth of chores is not enough to comment on their durability -- but so far, so good!

I purchased these gloves for my brother-in-law. He uses them for welding and said he had never had a better welding glove.

These have flexible, soft deer suede for the hands but it is thinner than expected. The cuffs are thick, stiff cowhide suede - which is a plus in our case. Looking for work gloves to use on rural acreage to clear brush/overgrown vegetation/saplings from fence rows and gullies. The cuffs on these are good, but not sure how the palms/hands are going to hold up. Would recommend because the price is worth trying them out.
