Closeouts. Once you join the Le Chameau Clan, no other rubber boots will do. That’s because these are made with the highest quality natural rubber, which is supple, durable and completely waterproof.
When you want the absolute best in a wellie you turn to Le Chameau. The rubber is very soft and comfortable. I wear a size 8 generally but with the european sizing options in Le Chameau, after 7.5, there are only whole sizes. I went with a 39 (7.5) because the 40 was for sizes 8 and 8.5 and I'm glad I did. The boots fit perfectly. These boots are the perfect blend of practicality and style. The chestnut is beautiful and the dark plaid pattern with just a touch of pink really makes the boots more feminine and stylish. I would definitely recommend!!

Since the traditional Wellington Scottish brand Hunter started outsourcing their boots, we started looking for other Wellies. We ended up reading good things about this French brand. Sierra's price is hard to beat, so both my mother and I got a pair of these slightly-lower-than-traditional-Wellies boots.
We then both had to send ours back for the next size down. I usually wear a 9, but had to exchange for the 8. Same with my mother but, she had to exchange the 8 for the 7.5.
The tartan on top is a nice touch and the boots are very comfortable to slog about it. I've been using them mainly for gardening, mucking around in the dirt and mud and keeping the ants from biting my feet and ankles. I wouldn't hesitate to throw them on to go out in the rain. They're practical, but I also like the look of them.

Two issues to be aware of: Le Chameau's run 1 size big. So if you are a US 9, get the US 8, etc. Secondly, the calve size is quite narrow on both the women's and men's sizes of their boots. Designed for spindly little european people. The average American is going to have issues some of the time with these. In fact, le Chameau makes several calf sizes on several of their models due to this...sierra trading post usually gets the small calf diameters on discount so be informed.

I followed the size chart rather than using what I know is my European size (39) for my Size 8 foot. The conversion chart shows Size 40. The boot is definitely a bit loose. I'm pretty sure I can adjust the fit with a heavy sock and/or an insole.

The only thing I can say is what a disappointment. The sole on these shoes is extremely thin, you feel every crack in the sidewalk. I was hoping for a boot to walk around town or even walk the dog in. What I got however was equal to Crocs. I guess if you want to use them in your garden to prevent soil compaction they're ok. Mmmm, aren't those what Crocs or Mucks are for?
