“Great Value for a Coat”

“Recently, I have decided to use Sierra Trading Post as my source for replacement coats. I purchased two Barbours and then, based on a sale offering, I decided to try the Le Chamel. To say that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and style of this garment is an understatement. Based on my limited use of this coat, I would view the le Chamel superior to the Barbours. It is relatively lightweight; it breathes. More importantly, it has a number of really nice features. For example, some of the Barbours allow you to tighten the inner sleeve using a series of metal buttons. These tend to be a case of either too loose or too tight. The Le Chamel achieves the same result using velcro. The inner pocket has a nicely sewn-in zipper closure. The collar has a nice bridge so that you ensure that it is tight on cold days. This is not a well known product (well not to me at least -- their website does not help). Yet, this is a great coat. It is great value. Get it; you will not be disappointed. I know that I was not.”
