    One review mentioned the gold color as being too bright and that was NOT the case. These boots are a subdued version of a bronze-gold tone that is tasteful. I love that these boots are not too big around the ankle, more flattering that those that are wide. The calf was a bit on the large side, but not so much that they were unflattering.If I were to buy them again I would size down to a 39, which is closer to an eight this time anyway.

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I ordered in a size 42, which is my normal size, at size 11 U.S. This boot is more like a 38 or 39, however. I could not even get it on my feet. I got one on and then had to have someone else pull it off while I sat down, because there was no getting it off. I am dissapointed and must send them back. I suggest ordering 2 sizes up.
