This is a nice all around pocket knife with a few minor drawbacks. while the size and weight of the knife are very nice, the handle material (plastic) looks cheap and has no grip. The blade is also a bit of a problem as it is not sharpened to very high standards at the factory. With a little work on a diamond stone you can get a nice edge that seems to hold.

I wanted a very simple thin/strong pocket knife. This was the best you had. It seems to be working just fine.

I have a CRKT M16 (from STP) and decided to buy this the E304 because it's a bit smaller and more appropriate as a EDC. The Leatherman lacks many of the details of the CRKT. Examples include the textured thumb bolt and superior opening and locking mechanism of the CRKT vs. the Leatherman. The grip of the Leatherman is also very slippery. I purchased this knife during a sale so I'd say the value is fair, but the regular price is steep for what you get - especially if you can buy a CRKT, Kershaw or SOG at STP.
