My hand measures a size Women's 8 but mittens and gloves are always too narrow even with this measurement. I ordered these praying they would be wide enough at size 8.5 but they fit like a size 7.5. They are getting returned.

I have other mittens and gloves by this company that are the same Trigger S style in 1/2 size smaller that fit great. I was looking for a loose mitten to wear on the really cold days but this pair went right back. They were so narrow in both the thumb and finger areas that it was tight and uncomfortable.

My ski gloves were not keeping my fingers warm even in 20-30 degree temps and I knew I needed to move to a mitten. These are very warm with or without a thin glove liner. I hadn't realized they were made to click into a Leki pole (which I don't use) so there's a little bulky area in the palm between the thumb and index finger, but it hasn't been an issue for me and holding my poles feels the same as it did before. Obviously adjusting to a mitten takes a little work, but all in all a great purchase.

About LEKI

The company behind LEKI ski poles was founded in 1948 by Karl Lenhart. Dissatisfied with the equipment of his day, Lenhart spent considerable time and effort engineering what would soon become some of the best ski poles in the world. In the years since, LEKI poles have evolved from fiberglass composite shafts to aluminum and carbon fiber. In 1974, LEKI trekking poles were the first on the market to feature an adjustable-length shaft and, within four years, the poles were helping climbers summit Mount Everest. Select LEKI poles now feature anti-shock and Speed Lock adjustment technology, and the product range has even expanded to include LEKI gloves specially designed for mountaineering and skiing.
