I have used LEKI ThermoLite Aergon Trekking Poles (short grips) hiking for about 6 years, covering more than 2500 miles. They are very scratched, but otherwise in perfect shape. I just bought this pair to as they have the longer handles and the price was right. Excellent Poles. These Poles allow me to hike up and down the mountains without having to continually adjusting the length of the poles since the long grip allows me to position my hand were necessary.
Leki makes excellent poles and I have never had any problems with them.
