As a college professor who teaches abroad frequently, I spend a lot of time trekking through the rainforest and through archaeological sites. Many of my days include 6-8 miles of walking, which I love, but my feet don't always agree with me. I spent a week in Greece last month and walked for many miles in cities, in archaeological sites, and up mountains. This trekking cane saved my feet! Normally they hurt quite a lot, but this time they didn't hurt much at all because I was able to distribute my weight a little more, and I had something to lean on if one foot started to hurt while standing still. FYI, I am 40 yrs old and in excellent shape - I just seem to have foot issues! My one complaint is that the tip of the handle broke off - the cork is a little bit brittle. I should be able to glue it, however.

Great quality. They use this brand in the Grand Canyon hiking trips so it's gotta be good. My husband also used it when he hurt his back.

I began using Leki canes 15 years ago when I had my first hip replacement. Having had the second hip replaced recently, I acquired two more to make sure I always have a cane handy. These canes are light weight, sturdy, easily adjustable, collapsible when traveling and comfortable to use. The shock absorber eliminates bodily stress during use.

This makes a great support walking cane for older folks or anyone with an injury of the back, leg, or foot. And it's a lot more stylish than a clinical looking old grandpa cane!

This was recommmended to me by my sister-in-law, who said how much more comfortable this type grip was compared with the round knob on the one I was using Comfortable and also more stable to walk with. The only problem is that it is just enough longer that it does not fit diagonally in my luggage as the other did. We have not taken a flight with this one, so it depends on whether airline will let me carry it on --my other has a pointed tip which I hope is reason for not allowing it.
