5.0 out of 5 stars. Serious Upgrade from a T-shirt

For years I wore a regular T-shirt while snorkeling to provide protection from sunburn and a little insulation in cooler water without having to deal with a wetsuit. It was a simple solution, but I admit that I hated emerging from the water with a heavy, soggy T-shirt to remove and wring and, even worse, putting the cold, clammy thing on again when returning to the water. Still, I didn't like the idea of a tight, hot garment to replace the T-shirt and thought that a rash guard would be uncomfortable. Well, at least with this one, I was wrong! I took the advice of earlier reviewers and ordered this rash guard one size up. That move resulted in receiving a shirt that fit like a cover-up T-shirt, but what a difference in performance! It feels so much better in the water, is easy to remove, dries lickety-split and is perfectly pleasant to put back on later the same day. I felt less drag when free diving and swimming and much more comfortable dressing, undressing and redressing at the beach. I raved about it so much, my husband wants to try trading his snorkeling T-shirt in for a rash guard too. I was impressed with the fabric and workmanship and like the vibrant purple color. I'm not sure what the little white collar band in front is all about and don't really go for zillilons of logos plastered on clothing, but all-in-all I am very satisfied with this product. It made me glad I decided to try upgrading to something made for the water. The SPF 50+ advertised on the shirt's label is absolutely true - no burning anywhere the shirt covered even after hours in the water.

True to size for XS, quality construction. My wife likes this rash guard. Hasn't been in the water yet, thus the rating.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Love the loose fit

I like wearing my husband's rash guards for their looser fit. I was looking for a rash guard that fit more like a T-shirt. This is 75% of the way there. And the extra neck protection is nice.
