The Life-Link Alpine Pro avalanche shovel has an extendable design that offers extra length for easier shoveling or added shovel strength for wet or hard-packed snow when the handle is inserted into the blade. Two holes in blade allow for easy transportation with Life-Link's Slingblade Carrying System (not included).

    Bombproof shovel. Spent three straight hours shoveling a pile of snow for a quinzee shelter. Two feed deep snow didn't stop it. Was very impressed. 10 inches isn't ideal for piling, but was surprised with how fast it went. It is ideal for digging which is what it does best.
